Born 1988, in the United Kingdom, lives and works in Nottingham.
Freddy Griffiths is an artist working with and around photography, seeking to use the photographic image to further non-hierarchical methodologies in contemporary art and everyday scenarios. His ongoing exploration has resulted in the formation of a photographic archive.
Recent international investigations in the last two years have centred on questions of photographic materiality and the finite nature of natural resources. Walking or cycling as a primary mode of transport has defined the making of photographs during these excursions.
Griffiths is keen to embrace contradictory and ambiguous ways of working for future presentations of his archive.
